Deftallica 0 Posted July 30, 2012 So I think I'm just about ready to move further inland but a crucial thing I'm missing is a backpack. All I can find is the stupid Czech vest pouch.I have everything to make fire, skin and cook food, I have a water bottle, I've found just about every navigational tool (compass, map, watch, etc). 4 mags for my AKM, 3 mags for a 1911, and plenty of bandages. This has all be scavenged from Cherno and Balota. My only concern is that before I leave the city I need to have a some morphine with me, and I need extra space to find and cook meat to replenish my blood loss (around 7000, had a few scuffles with zombies). I've established a good route that takes me from a house, to a supermarket, to the church and into the fire station in Cherno, but after two runs I haven't found one yet. I'm finding plenty of great things but have no where to put them! I also, in relation to where I've been looting, do not know where the nearest hospital is.So... thoughts? I'd hate to leave without morphine but I think I'm otherwise ready to head for the woods. Any decent odds on finding a backpack later or places I should look to acquire one? DarkwaveDomina 1099 Posted July 30, 2012 You're almost guaranteed to find Alice packs in supermarkets, also hit deer stands everywhere you find them.
tyhboom 10 Posted July 30, 2012 Alice packs are quite common (I have found at least 6 over the course of a day and a half). You might as well pack up and head north now. I am sure you will find one laying around as you move northward.
Bender2012 6 Posted July 30, 2012 i usually find 4 in a supermarket..its very common...also can find coyote pack which is bigger in a deer stand..or an alice pack of course.
Dancingg 27 Posted July 30, 2012 Supermarkets definitely. I've ran into supermarkets carrying 2 Czech and 3 Alice packs in the same market. I found my Coyote pack though in a deer stand which was a super rare find.
h3retic 224 Posted July 30, 2012 (edited) You're almost guaranteed to find Alice packs in supermarkets, also hit deer stands everywhere you find them.markets only have a 2% chance of spawning an alice pack, although thats still higher than other locations, so ure right about markets being the right place to look for alice packs. u should also check the cherno church. Deftallica 0 Posted July 30, 2012 Should I worry about getting morphine before I pack up and leave? I'm on my own and I've read horror stories about breaking one's legs in the middle of nowhere and being stuck crawling around. I think I can sacrifice a coke or two for some before I go if I can't find a backpack.Where abouts is the Cherno hospital in relation to, say, the church by the coast? There are actually military tents right behind the hospital as well which pack a ton of medical supplies and even some military loot.
Hetstaine 10852 Posted July 30, 2012 ..the horror stories are true..get Morph. Morph should be on the top of your list of items to get. Ditch all of your cokes and get a water bottle too. Two hospitals, one mentioned above and then another jsut above where you are now in Cherno. It is directly across from the apartments.Run North east from the church ( church on your left and the shops on your right ), go straight up the road , across the train tracks, keep going straight until you hit the main Cherno road, chuck a right onto it , you will see the apartments come up on your left.
