Help?

Hello, i just had some questions and was hoping that any one that knew about the problems i had could help. **(just fyi this is the first time i have ever played arma, and im not that big of a tech guy even though thats my user name. LOL :( )**

So im pretty sure i downloaded every thing correctly and updated it right, still unsure tho.

The problem is that It will take a long time to join a game and usually i get stuck on the loading screen when im actually in the game and i will get kicked some times saying ping is to high, my ping is also always at 9999.

the mod DayZ is also laggy (i thought it might be the servers and not my computer but idk), but when i play the regular game i can play on very High details and every thing (no lag) but... the mod... not so much even on very low it will lag :S

Any help will be very much appreciated.

Edit** i use the six launcher and bought the game and the mod off of Steam. if that makes any difference.

Find servers with low ping.

Check your video settings and tweak them. You can disable shadows for example and that helps, just play with the options and see what helps

All the servers say 9999 for the ping. :(

yeah i did tweak the settings so reduce every thing to the lowest it will go. but still lags. ":S
