I'm able to play Battlefield 3 with all settings maxed out with no problems, what do I need to upgrade on my computer? Try putting all your settings on normal, hiking your shadow to high. video memory defualt. AA off. make the interface and 3d resolution the same and the native res that your screen is. Also. I was playing on widescreen because my monitor is but I put it down to 4:3 aspect ratio and that helped. If this problem persists check all the tactics on using RAMDisc and launch options. Also reducing your 3d resolution results in worse performance as it puts more load on the CPU instead of GPU. AA also makes NO difference whatsoever. I lowered all my settings except shadows and result=worse FPS than before. Counter-intuitive i know but that's how shitty this engine really is.Poor performance is simply due to crappy unoptimised engine coupled with DayZ asking too much of said engine.
