[UK6]Coalition of the South forming

Recommended Posts

Good day to you all.

By now, many people on UK6 know me and my group counting many merry men. We have accomplished many things with teamwork. Bandits are no match for us and triggerhappy survivors are dealt with even quicker.

We are a group lead by IRL ex-soldiers and anyone is welcome to try their luck with our group.

This group has so far only been a random hunting party but I have decided to take it up a notch. We will be fighting for sovereignty, respect and glory. Our status is FRIENDLY. That means we will not shoot you if you are minding your own business trying to get by. We have even given bandits leeway (although some end up with a bullet in the face, because they don't listen, usually).

When we say fighting for sovereignty, we mean that when you enter a later announced territory, you are on OUR turf. If you find yourself spotted in our territory, you will be escorted out. Any resistance will be dealt with in the form of lead. Any consequences that your actions may have (such as getting a member of the Coalition killed) will most likely land you a spot on our blacklist which makes adventuring for you much harder.

As a member of the Coalition, you will learn combat formations, perimeters, general combat discipline, navigation worthy of a patrolman and much, much more.

Together we are proud of having minimal casualties, alas we have only lost people to bugs so far, despite having been ambushed by bandits, stalked by others and up against the horde numerous times.

We are currently residing around the southern area of Chernerus but we have patrols all around Chernerus.

For you to join, you must be at least 16 years old.

You must have a microphone and be willing to use it with teamspeak.

You must not be on our blacklist which is a list containing names of men who have betrayed, robbed or killed anyone in the Coalition. These men are shot on sight or kneecapped if seen crawling through the horde.

I will assign each member a specific role.

You can become:

Grunt.

Everyone starts out as a grunt, eventually working their way up.

A fetcher.

Fetchers are men who excel at fetching things without others noticing. These men know exactly how to avoid the horde and will return safely to the group with bags full of goodies. This role is essential for our survival.

A runner.

Runners excel at navigating through terrain. When somebody is hurt far away from our position or if we simply need to have another position supplied or even having a member of the Coalition retrieved from enemy territory (or any location) to the group, the runner does the job quickly and smoothly. The runner knows exactly where he is at all times due to his skill with a map and a compass (and the terrain).

Patrolman.

This is an elite units of soldiers whom I hand-pick to join me or other officers/sergeants (when recruited) on special patrols. These patrols are usually of heavy importance such as setting up a forward base or scavenging loot in bandit covered area such as airfields, ruins, deer stands etc. where a runner is of no use as he would get killed.

This elite unit knows combat in and out. They know how to check their sectors, maintain formation, identify their targets through ADDRAC (Alert, Direction, Description, Range, Assignment, Control) and much more.

When not on mission, these men serve as general soldiers.

Sergeant.

These are patrolmen that have shown themselves worthy of leading other patrolmen into battle.

When not on mission, these men serve as general sergeants commanding their respective group.

Officer.

These men have shown themselves worthy of giving orders instead of taking orders. These men show their worth, proving to be tactical thinkers by bettering me in my decisions through their suggestions.

These men know the game in and out and they know how to maintain a force. These men must also know combat as well as tactic.

Soldier.

These men are our general soldiers.

They excel in combat above all. These men can obey combat orders under stress and are able to maintain a perimeter for extended amounts of time.

Medic.

These men carry medical supplies and stay back when a fight ensues. Wounded will be dragged to the medic if they can not make it themselves.

These men also function as soldiers (or Patrolmen if the Medic is already a Patrolman).

More roles are to be announced and being assigned a role does not have to be permanent. Members can be assigned roles that are different to their current role if they meet the requirements and are willing to switch.

Members can wish to be assigned to a certain role (although officers, patrolmen and sergeants are not up for grabs by just anyone) and that will affect my decision but does not have a final say at all in what role these members are assigned.

If you are interested in joining the Coalition of the South you can add me on steam: ''bjarni DK'' and we will have a chat.

Remember that we are located on UK6 and sometimes EU4.

Sweet post Bjar. Now all you need is a logo and/or badges for the group.

I'm a graphical designer so that shouldn't be hard :)

That's exactly what we are counting on. And we will be fighting them for sovereignty.

Great to see this sort of emergent gameplay going on, just the kind of thing that this game works great for.

I've only just started playing, but I'm already pretty obsessed! Once I've got to grips with things I may give you a call :D

If by UK6 you mean the AQ (Anquer Quare) server we welcome it :)

Remember you might want to post it on our forums:

http://www.anquer-quare.com/forums/forumdisplay.php/69-DayZ-Mod

Also we might set up another server with the veteran settings and a teamspeak server for servers users (teamspeak will probably use the ACRE mod for ARMA II/TS for increased realism).

Hope you have a nice stay :)
