Possible to have more players on server?

Recommended Posts

So far I am enjoying this game. With the map being so big, there is a lot of nothing out there, but zombies. Is it possible to have more people on a server? Like say 100 people per server?

Yes it is certainly possible. Not sure if we can pull it off now though. The game is fairly new and the current servers would not sustain with 100 people running around unless you want ungodly lag. But it is certainly possible and maybe in the distant future.

There are a few servers with 70-75 and I also saw a japanese or sth server with 100 slots.

The problem with the slots is many of this slots are unused, so server admins reduce the slots of a server and set one or two additional servers up with 40 slots.

The Hive server wouldn't have a problem with this, it is only a matter of server resources from the admin, if he has some good specs in there he could even go further than 100... but many people tend to go to less populated servers as there are less bandits.
