Getting on another character?

I started playing yesterday and on my first character I spawned just outside of Elektro and went into it. Grabbed myself a lot of goodies, weapons, etc, and was prepared to go out when I was killed by a survivor.

Today, as I login, I'm a bandit. I barely killed any zombie, nor a survivor.

I disconnect and reconnect, now instead of 0 kill 0 murders, I have 16 zombie kills and 3 murders.

Maybe I'm getting into other player characters without knowing? Everytime this happens I'm with starting gear, the last time I started bleeding out as soon as the game loaded.

I've tried everything in the last 1 hour, already entered the game on about a dozen different characters, none of them was mine, always a bandit with few blood, lots of zombie kills AND starting gear.

I've had the same issue today twice, everytime I change a server I spawn as someone else, usaully a bandit with tons of murders and zombie kills.

Make sure you have the newest patch (v1.5.8.4) and join servers that also have the newest patch. It is also possible that the servers you have been playing on hasn't properly updated their server, so try others.

i'm also spawing as a bandit ,showing something like 23 zombies 18 headshots but no murders - started after i upgraded to 8.4 but downgraded back to 8.2 because the server i usually play on hasn't upgraded to 8.4 yet.I've fully deleted and re-installed 8.2 but no change.
