Arma 2 (Retail) + Operation Arrowhead (steam). how?

Hey guys.

I have some Problems.

I wanted to try this Mod for Arma2. So I looked what I need for this mod.

Since release I have Arma 2. But for this Mod I also need Operation Arrowhead (OA). So I downloadd it from Steam today.

And the most important things: After 2 years in the german army as a paratrooper I have also my balls with me ;)

Here we go.

Arma2 retail version has the last update on it. After 4h of waiting (7,8GB!) I also had the OA on my computer.

As it says in the description I tried it with the sixupdater. Doesn't work...

So I tried it also with the manual installation. All went fine. I had the DAYZ logo on screen, found lot's of servers but couldn't join one server.

Everytime: bad version!

But I have the newest version. 1.62 like all the other servers.

My question now: can I combin this two Versions(retail + steam)?

it should run fine with retail+steam

what do you see in the main menu bottom right corner? you should see something like this:

Version: 1.62.95417

DayZ 1.7.2.4

also what method do you use to start the game? shortcut? steam?

Yeah, there was something like this in the bottom right corner.

30minutes ago I messed this shit up and wanted to install it again. This is the Shit of Steam.

Why can't I download a game and use it without steam and decide by my selfe where I want to install it....

So I have to download the 7.8GB again...

I started it via steam.

1. You have Arma 2. Check !

2. You have CO. Check!

3. You have put the DayZ beta files in the correct directory?

4. You have installed the Arma 2 Beta files correctly? Starting from an older version and working your way up 94444, 95### 95### etc.?

5. You have downloaded and are launching the game through the DayZ Beta.cmd? (Right click on the dayzbeta.com and edit. Go to the command line and delete -window so you play full screen.)

6. Download the latest Battle eye client file, and put it in the arma operation arrowhead\expansion\battle eye folder?

If that doesn't work - Uninstall everything, clear out all saved data, register your Arma 2 on steam and download Arma 2 and Arma 2 CO from steam.

It just sounds to me your not launching through the dayzbeta.cmd.
