Is there a way to reinstall day Z?

Is there a way to reinstall Day Z? The current state of the game is resulting in my inventory resetting every time I play...Which is really frustrating because between lives I've been on a crazy lucky streak finding items.

I think there's files missing or broken (I'm getting regular ".cant find file blah blah" messages), I don't know, I'm not great with technology. Without going through the excruciating process of reinstalling ARMA2 completely can I just reset/reinstall all the day z files?

yes. go to arma 2 operation arrowhead folder and delete the whole @DayZ folder.

if you have non steam version just ignore the steam related steps.
