Would modular civvie skins be possible?

New on the forums, so I apologize if this has been brought up before, but the search didn't turn anything up.

Would it be possible to have civilian skins that can be added onto in-game? Say, you start on the beach with nothing but your civilian clothes on, but later you find things like pouches, backpacks, hats, and bulletproof vests. Would that be possible in the ARMA 2 engine? That way it would add at least some degree of distinction between people.

You can find variations of clothes, I believe. Right now I have camo clothing (not a ghillie), but before you put on different clothing, make sure you drop your bag if you have anything in it, because it will dissapear.
