M24, how can I calculate target distance?

Recommended Posts

Ok, hello everyone ! I found a m24 and i had some good shots in cherno (5 kills in a hour or so), but i decided i wanted to play in a server without tags, so now i would like to know how to calculate the target distance for zeroing the rifle before the shot. Can anyone help me?

Well, if this vanilla ArmA, I would tell you to get out a rangefinder, but since it's DayZ. I don't think there is a way.

well if ur on a regular server just scroll the well and the distance will show up in the middle of the screen.

if ur on a veteran server though u have to fing a rangefinder in a deer-stand or other military loot.

I know you can use the mil-dots on it to estimate the range to your target, just like the SVD, but don't ask me how. Couldn't find a range table on the internet :S

telephone poles, known distances, map. Find out the distance to one major object and guess a bit from that at other distances.
