TheSneakySpy 1 Posted July 29, 2012 I have recently searched for a decent laptop to run DayZ with, as i have been unknowingly cursed into buying a laptop with an Intel HD card. They both Have decent looking cards, one with 2gb of onboard RAM on the card, and good processors as well. Which one is better? I currently believe that this one is the besthttp://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/hewlett-packard-hp-pavilion-15-6-amd-quad-core-a10-4600m-accelerated-laptop-m6-1084ca-black-m6-1084ca/10208017.aspx?lang=en-CA&pcname=&sku=10208017&path=9d7981a9dcd0ae36e2d557187246fd5fen02At 800$ with An AMD quad core @ 2.3 GHz, and 8GB of RAM (DDR3), and an AMD Raedon HD 7660G with 2gb of onboard RAM! It also has 1TB of memory, which would be good for years to come. Then this one,http://www.amazon.com/Dell-X15L-1024ELS-Laptop-Elemental-Silver/dp/B004XZMBS2%3FSubscriptionId%3D19BAZMZQFZJ6G2QYGCG2%26tag%3Dsquid1165943-20%26linkCode%3Dxm2%26camp%3D2025%26creative%3D165953%26creativeASIN%3DB004XZMBS2At 870$ With an Intel i7 @ 2.3 GHz, and 6GB of DDR3 RAM, and an Nvidia Geforce 525M GT with 1gb of RAM onboard. Only 640 GB hard drive on this one, although i dont need more than 400GB at mostSo yeah, which one is better for playing DayZ?
Condork 2 Posted July 29, 2012 Don't game on laptops IMO.So much better to invest in a desktop PC, it would take an extremely expensive laptop to run this game where as you could get a much cheaper PC that could play it better.
TheSneakySpy 1 Posted July 29, 2012 I'm not really going to be playing DayZ all that much here, i just want a decent laptop, and whichever one is better, i will buy :D
kristoferen 10 Posted July 29, 2012 (edited) That Radeon 7660 is the winner here, so go with the HP. Edited July 29, 2012 by kristoferen

Remus (DayZ) 8 Posted July 29, 2012 The second one. Intel > AMD all day long.
Varicose Veins 14 Posted July 29, 2012 If you are spending that much money on a laptop, then you might as well spend it on a desktop computer. You could build something twice as powerful with the same money.
TheSneakySpy 1 Posted July 29, 2012 (edited) I'm honestly not wanting to build a desktop, and i dont want to buy an alienware, so anywhere know where i could get a decent desktop that would run DayZ and modern games without me building it, alienware just overprices their products >.<And this is if i dont get a gaming laptop Edited July 29, 2012 by TheSneakySpy
:VADER: 88 Posted July 29, 2012 i have a hp pavilion dv6 core i7 geforce gt 630m beats audio, runs the games really well, you just have to make sure your drivers are up to date and not play for 10 hours straight (jk) 99% will say build a desktop ect but if the laptop will get more use besides gaming then just get a highend laptop, gaming computers are amazing but you will only want to get a new one in a year or two, $2000 will get you something amazing but like all computers they are obsolete in a few months. *note dayz can run pretty choppy on most high end computers its just the game/server at times. chunkeymonkey79 86 Posted July 29, 2012 I have a laptop that I use when I'm away, but it's a bit out of your budget.Don't ever buy an Alienware, please.
TheSneakySpy 1 Posted July 29, 2012 So i could run it on an i3 4gb RAM with a Intel HD GFX card at lowest, slowly?
GrendelZ 10 Posted July 29, 2012 So i could run it on an i3 4gb RAM with a Intel HD GFX card at lowest, slowly? No, I wouldn't. But yeah that HP with the radeon is good it has a a better graphics card and more memory, great! It's the better buy. But I do tend to trust intel better when it comes to processors, and have no idea how good that amd processor is.
