The people of Chernarus

Recommended Posts

Now first off, I don't know if there is any story behind who you play as, I don't know who you are or where you are from.

My question is why do you not know any of the survivors? most of the map is made of small villages so wouldn't you know the majority of who lives there (I'm assuming that we are from somewhere in Chernarus).

The reason I question this is because most of the reactions between players is usually ends in bloodshed. I don't think if you would shoot someone you know, even in a zombie apocalypse.

This isn't a request for a change in game play of any way, since I like it how it is (mostly). This is sort of a response to the comments saying "Society has broken down so its kill or be killed, therefore bandits are realistic". This makes sense in some aspects such as people travelling from out of Chernarus, but why is everyone from out of town?

This dog eat dog mentality that supposedly would inevitably take hold of humanity would honestly only work in large cities.

What do you think?

Also, all this is completely pointless if you arrived in Chernarus from a boat (since you spawn at the coast)

But how would you integrate knowing a random person on DayZ, and even if the game said 'Hey you know that guy' people would still kill each other.

I understand what you mean, but it's impossible to add this into a multiplayer game.

What I'm trying to say is, take out the fact that DayZ is a game (or simulator w/e) and look at how it could actually play out.

It is physically impossible to implement this in a game since well, its played by thousands of people and you cant simulate years of knowing everyone.

The OP is such a hot mess I'm not surprised people are missing whatever point you're trying to make.
