Anyone run into this problem? - Infinite Zed Respawn

Recommended Posts

I was scavenging with my friend the other day when we came across a town with two barns, so we were making our way through, when a zed Aggro'd from a football field away.

My buddy headshots him with his AKM, and stirs up about a dozen zombies.

So we start booking it towards the barn so we can get out of there, when we get FLOODED with zombies and no choice other than taking them out.

Every entrance to the barn was filled with zombies and they kept coming for a solid 5 minutes.

By the end of it, we both had wasted nearly 3 clips of ammo each, leaving about 50 corpses on the barn floor. We then took off from the barn and saw the town was STILL littered with zeds.

I thought they were only supposed to spawn when characters came nearby?

Happened to me a few times, same situation as you stuck in a barn thinking we will kill the 5 zombies we counted only to find the have magically multiplied lol. Also at green mountain by the big radio tower they just endlessly spawn.

yeh same issue here. i can kill 5 zeds that defend a barn just to watch them re appear from a haystack....funny thing is u can kill them as they appear if u get the right spot. sometimes the game managed to despawn them quick enough so u dont really notice but alot of the time zed are spawning still really close the the player. in general they are really glitchy still.

This happened to me and a friend in a small farm with only one entrance. 3 zed were in there, we killed them, then moved in. Zeds just kept spawning as we killed them. We just legged it since we lost a lot of blood when they started spawning right next to us.

Bah, if it's only zeds just leave the server. It's hardly cheating if it's a bug and no players will benefit from it.

At least it's a big old barn. I had zeds spawn on top of me in the barracks the other day, now that scared the shit outta me!

I wouldn't have been so upset if we could have just ditched the horde in the barn, but the fact that EVERY OPEN ORAFACE of that barn was jammed with zombies, I had literally never seen anything like that before.

Every gunshot attracted every zombie that freshly spawned, ad naseum.

I had something similar happen in the tri-story office building in northern Berezino the other day. Out by the docks area. Someone in the group fired off a round to kill a zed walking in, and then an absolutely MASSIVE left for dead style horde came pouring into the building. It took the 3 of us multiple clips each to put down what seemed like 70-80 zeds. My debug counter went up by around 35-40, so I know there were at LEAST 50 due to my group shooting a good amount themselves. I have no idea what triggered it, but honestly, it was awesome. I wish more things like that happened more often. A ravaging horde every now and again keeps you on your toes.

I was just running past a quiet village and on the off chance a Z came running after me I thought OK no problem here i'll just go ahead and put him down - *bang* down. Then I look further down and what looked to be about 40 Z's start running at me, I wish I could have seen my own face at that moment, Luckily I had two friends with me, the battle for our lives had begun...
