Cannot play DayZ

First of all, this is not happening to me, but to a friend of mine.

4 days ago he was able to play just fine, no problems. Today we decided to play again, he updated the mod from six launcher and upon entering the game got the following error: You were kicked ( Battleye failed to update ). He then tried to fix it by doing this:

Step 1: Close steam, and launch it again as Adminstrator.

Step 2: Right click on Arma 2 in your steam library, then click on Properties, after that click on the Local Files tab, the click Verify integrity of game cache. Then wait for that to finish

Step 3: Repeat Step 2 but instead of Arma 2 Verify the Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead.

Step 4: After you have gotten that done, launch Arma 2, close it, then launch AO, then close it.

Step 5: Now launch Sixlauncher or whatever you use, and you should be able to connect!

If you get the message ""1 files failed to validate and will be reacquired""

Then steam found the problem and is fixing the file.

After doing that, he entered the game and was kicked off. I saw the error, but cant recall it. Something about a corrupted file I think. He verified the integrity of the game cache once more and when he tried to join a server got the "You were kicked ( Battleye failed to update )" error once more. He then wiped both six launcher and dayz off his computer and did a reinstall. No joy, got the battleye error again.

Suggestions? I get it that alpha is alpha, but this is starting to get quite depressing already.

I may be wrong but he might need to update battle eye manually. There was an issue before that after updating the patch Battleeye was stuck on the old version.

hi. im having the same problem since yesterday evening. was playing fine dayz fine with the six launcer, i then loaded up steam to talk to a friend at which point arma2 and arma 2 AO were updated. since then i cant get on to any servers without being kicked instantly. have updated battleye and reinstalled arma 2 and all the other studd ive seen recomended.

on my frinds side it says i cant join due to a corrupt mission file or something. ill have to verify that though.

any suggestions??

well i fixed it some how.

just verified the files again to make sure and ran both arma2 and arma2 OA once and now it seems to work again, dont know how or what i did to make it work but it does so cant grumble, now back to protecting my sardines.
