Cant update to new version.

So I played Day Z a few days ago and when i went to play it today i couldnt join any servers so i go to update Day Z and Arma 2. I successfully updated Day Z but for some reason i cant update arma 2. i download all the stuff from the official website and try to update to version 1.62 but it wont work. everytime i go to play day z it says im running 1.6295417 and not the newer one. It says im running day z 1.7.2.4 and also i tried to run day z commander and all it says is "day z commander is no longer working" everytime i click the icon. it wont even start. so any help with these problems would be fantastic. thanks.

The 1.6295417 is the patch for Arma 2 and the 1.7.2.4 is DayZ. Try and reinstalling your battle eye program. Also try and only join servers that have both patches for Arma and DayZ

Thanks for the tip. Yea i know about the patch thing. So when i went to re-install my battle eye program it says "!! Missing String" and does that twice and just gives up. Help please.

when you launch the game what do you see in the bottom right corner?

I'm not sure what you are trying to update, since 1.7.2.4 and 1.62.95417 are the latest versions of DayZ and beta patch respectively

well then i guess the problem would be that i join a server and get all the way till the last loading part and it just says loading for a very very long time. and i wait and nothing happens and i press ctrl alt delte and it says it has stopped running (Arma 2 OAC has stopped) and i try again. My friend had the same problem and all he had to do was update then he was fine.
