I find it funny how people can't aim

Recommended Posts

They collect all the goodies to survive, Nvg, sniper rifles and such, yet they can't aim. They feel cool camping elektro and cherno shooting fresh spawns. I went through elektro, shot 10 times by a sniper. He missed all his shots. I move on to cherno, Another sniper, no surprise. I count around 15 shots, all missing me. Please tell me people can aim better then that.

Those scumbags who camp the coast give us bandits a bad name. Also most people can't aim cause they're COD kiddies who don't know about bullet drop. Cheers mate. I hope you kill all those bandits you can.

I was standing still and a sniper missed like 5 shots. I was standing UP and was trying to loot a heli crash :L He was about 300 meters away I'm assuming. There was no delay in the sound and gunshot.

you clearly have not found me then, they are probably just new to using a weapon outside of point blank range.... don't count for bullet drop and distance to the target, I am a good shot with a sniper, normally it takes 1 shot for me to kill and or unconc the player and if unconc 2nd shot to kill. then I move cause everyone in the area knows wtf a sniper shot sounds like and 99% of the time someone is hunting my location so yeah..

I am not a bandit no.. I hunt bandits and other camping snipers.

I even went looking for the snipers. Apparently I found one of their baits. A tent in the middle of a field. Obviously I loot it, nothing in there of course, and a shot hits the tent missing me.

I am sorry, that I refuse to spell every comma and word 100%... just so it pleases you, that is not my intention here.

It slays me that people refuse to boot up ARMA 2, launch the Armory mission, and get acquainted with the shiny new toy they just found. It's what I do every time I pick up a rifle I've never used, and it only takes around 15 minutes. Then I launch DayZ, go have a smoke while it's loading (no seriously I have enough time to do this) and resume playing with my new knowledge. I don't know why "practice" is such a foreign concept to some people.

I do that, too, but I usually use a custom map with a bunch of those pop-up targets on it at various ranges so I can try to figure out how the sights work. I'm still unforgivably bad with the grenade launcher, I don't even pick them up in DayZ, even though I really want to use a flare in the middle of Cherno some night.

My problem is, every time I load up the ArmA 2 armory, I find myself flying that A-10 around for about three hours. Man, is that ever fun.

i tried going through the shooting range tutorial. Got past the first part with the pistal but then i get to the part where i'm suppose to pick up the assault rifle but somethings bugged and i can't pick it up and it then disapears after i try. So i'm stuck at part 2 where it says pick up the rifle but its gone and i can't progress.......

I think that it has more to do with lack of knowledge than lack of aim. You need to get accustomed to bullet drop, zeroing and using mildots when sniping in DayZ. The first time I used a DMR, it took me nearly 100 bullets to kill a few players, but when I read up on it and practiced with it in a ARMA2 coop mission, I became pretty good with it in just 1-2 hours, and now I can hit targets at up to 800m somewhat reliably.

Because they come into Day Z expecting it to be like most AAA modern shooters where if you aim and shoot at someone from no matter how far away it instantly hits them.

"I hunt camping snipers"? Really? You hunt down stationary targets and are talking about how good you are?

Same problem here - Those jets are awesome. But back to topic - there are several missions available for arma 2 http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=14616 - this is good for practice since you can control your target.

Its not a lack of practice they suffer from, its laziness
