Just had to share this kill

Recommended Posts

DayZ always gives its share of laughs. Here's mine.

Running up the east side of the hill behind the power plant in Elektro. I know there's a sniper up there with a .50 cal picking off nubs as they hit the beach. He sees me coming up the ridge line, and he hits me a few times with his M4 SD. I drop to 4,000 blood, and take off back down the hill. I run through a few bushes and hide behind a tree to bandage. I only get half way through bandaging when he comes crouch-running down the hill after me. He's in a ghilie and I'm sure I'm a dead man.

However, he somehow doesn't see me behind the tree and runs right by me. I finish bandaging in a few seconds, and put my Enfield sights on him. He slows down to check around a tree about 20 meters from me and I put a round right trough his head.

I had to laugh to myself about his name, "I Sniped You". He had NVG, rangefinder, Barrett, M4 SD, full tool belt, enough meat to heal me back to 12,000. It was great.

Nice kill, the way you put it he deserved to die. Shooting newly spawning players is just a waste of bullets and is an annoyance to the player getting shot.

Sounds like someone who didn't really know what he was doing and stumbled on a bunch of good gear. Chasing after you was a big mistake.

It's not about luck my friend, it's about hunting no-talent assholes. Wear headphones, hang out in the tree lines around Cherno and Elektro, and when you hear the crack of a rifle you go looking for it. Sometimes you run into someone who has at least the common sense to change position after firing, or keep an eye open on their surroundings instead of just glued on their scope. Those guys are the dangerous ones. Sometimes you find a real dumbass who crouches in no cover and just blasts away like it's CoD. Those are the kills so easy you can do it with an axe.
