Multiple steam accounts?

I recently bought an extra copy of the game for a friend (on his steam account). I am just wondering if I log onto his account and run DayZ through his steam account, if I will be playing my character, or a new one. It's from the same computer that I play on.

It's based on your installation key...which i believe ends up in your registry. But that is an interesting question.

I went to install a standalone copy of arma CO on my machine (i own OA through steam and CO through bisstore) and it said already installed...wouldn't let me install a second key on the same pc it seemed. Try it and see:)

Thanks, I was just a bit worried about getting errors, or having it delete my main character.

I did notice that when I log in to the game from his steam, it still uses my ARMA II settings for video and sound. It also has my multiplayer profiles.
