Am new to Dayz

Hello all,

I just wanted to say what a great game/mod this is. Am new to this in fact am pretty new to Arma 2 in general. I bought the game in a sale about a year ago and I never got around to playing it. I only found out about DayZ from a friend last night.

I had a quick look at some video's on youtube of DayZ and thought it looked really good. So I bought Operation ArrowHead and installed DayZ. I thought I did really well on my first try I survived aobout 2 hours without any weapons or food.

I then died threw trial and error. 2nd time of trying I spawned right outside a pretty big city and after hours of searching and sneaking past zombies I finally found a gun. But it never helped me much since I only had 7 bullets.

Anyhow again great game and I can see me playing this for many months to come. The only grip I found with this game is I could not fined any food what so ever. I found coke and pepsi no problem but food was no where to be found.

Try again looking for food where you found the coke or everywhere, because is very common.

Also if you have an hatchet, matches and knife you can learn to get food from animals.
