*Sigh* Battleye: Failed to update...

Recommended Posts

Every server I have tried to join today all I keep getting is You were kicked ( Battleye: Failed to update ), I really don't understand why it's happening, I was playing yesterday with my friend. And even after I updated last night I could still play. I have also downloaded the client and server things from Battleye ( and put them in the right folders ) And restarted my laptop afterwards.

Can anyone help me so I can continue playing again?

Thanks in Advance.

First of all did you buy the retail version or Steam version?

If you bought the Steam version you can open up Steam, right-click Arma II and reinstall battleye. If that doesn't work you can: right-click Arma II go to properties and verify the game cache. (Do this for both Arma II and Arma II Operation Arrowhead) Then open up Arma II, wait till you get to the title screen then exit out. (repeat for Arrowhead) then it should work.

I have the same problem, am trying this solution as I type.

Step 1: Close steam, and launch it again as Adminstrator.

Step 2: Right click on Arma 2 in your steam library, then click on Properties, after that click on the Local Files tab, the click Verify integrity of game cache. Then wait for that to finish

Step 3: Repeat Step 2 but instead of Arma 2 Verify the Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead.

Step 4: After you have gotten that done, launch Arma 2, close it, then launch AO, then close it.

Step 5: Now launch Sixlauncher or whatever you use, and you should be able to connect!

If you get the message ""1 files failed to validate and will be reacquired""

Then steam found the problem and is fixing the file.

How do I fix the file? Or does it do it automatically? I seen " 1 files failed to validate and will be reacquired " on both Arma2 and OA

That is suppose to say that it's a normal error but when toy run Arma II it will fix that

I've ran both Arma2 and OA now and gone on Six launcher, I still get the same error :s You were kicked ( Battleye failed to update ) Is there anything else I can do to fix this? *sigh*

I've been having the exact same problem as Kinetex and McGahan. Have you guys found any solutions?
