Yes they do, not many people use them though.

According to the DayZ wiki they are used for: Tank Traps are placeable items that block a small area and cannot be moved by vehicles. They require a Toolbox to set up. They are also known as a 'Hedgehog'.

You'll mostly see them used to block off buildings, but I personally have not found it to be very effective when used for this purpose.

Personally I think their best use is to set up a vehicle barricade on a road, then just wait.

i put them next to my tents so people cant run them over but other than that their really isnt much use for them same with barbwire
