Bugged Ghillie Suits Still

Was a fresh spawn on the coast after meeting an unfortunate end up in Stary Sobor last night, so I decide to make my way through Elektro, grab a pistol and off I go to Cherno looting a few Barns along the way when to my happy surprise I stumble across a CZ550. Things are looking better and better. When I get to Cherno I decide that making a quick loot run through the Apt complex near the Northern Hospital and then hitting up Balota quickly would be my best coarse of action before heading North. The last building I check happens to have a ghillie inside. Bam so frickin ecstatic about the return of the ghillie suit I scurry off into the woods to dawn my new gear and poof...... Spawned me way out in the ocean, no land in sight, no respawn button no gear... WTF!!!!!!!!! Seriously I thought they were fixed... why put them back in if they are gonna do this same old bullshit, on top of which we cant even effectively respawn ourselves from this retarded bug... FIX THIS SHIT before putting it back in the game.

if you would have logged and then back in you would have had all your gear, but at a coastal spawn point. You need to read those change logs more carefully.

If you log out and back in you will be on the beach again, but the ghillie will be gone. Same thing happened to me yesterday... :(

I'm not srue what the big deal is with the ghillie suits. The camo is just as able to blend into the forest and surroundings. The ghillie suit gives a much bigger outline and stands out when moving more. When someone wearing one is laying down at a distance with no grass or anthing around them (of course from their perspective there will be grass, most players don't realize grass is only a locally drawn graphic), they stand out like a sore thumb.

Importent Ghillie Bug

Following happend 3 times today!

If you wearing a backpack, and find a bigger backpack and a ghillie, you MUST wear the ghillie first, before you equip the backpack, because if you take the bigger backpack before you wear the ghillie, the bigger backpack will disapear, and you have the smaller one, after you wearing the ghillie.

I found a ghillie, i had an ALICE pack and when i equipped the ghillie the backpack disappeared and i got my old coyote patrol pack instead. Weird, but i found another ALICE just after anyways.

Ghillies are more for players who come up behind you not knowing you are there and then walking right past you. I've had it happen a few times where people have walked within inches of me laying in some bushes or trees and not even notice me.

I've played Arma2 for years. And in DayZ mod I have not used one for a good reason. The camo gives the colour camoflauge without the additional outline size and irregular shape. They are too easy to spot for anyone who has played the game for a while. The outline is distinctive.

As someone up two posts said,they are useful when you are close in to someone and in grass where they can also see grass drawn, they don't see you as well more because they aren't expecting you to be there.

If one is actually looking for hidden "snipers" the ghillie suit is an easy spot.

Even larger outline for thermal scopes as well. If you are hiding in trees or anywhere for that matter, the ghillie will be an even brighter and larger blog on the thermal scope.

To the topic; has anyone experienced any bugs or issues putting the said camo outfit on? I have one ready but the last time I used any other clothing I spent a week in debug land.

Same happened to me with Camo.. had a 30 slot coyote backpack and when I put on camo I had a Czech backpack ._. . Thank god I found another one at a dead guy ^^
