Breaking bones : walking around the map the main reason i die is from broken bones.. often broken by falling off things and closing doors... it would be nice if it took a higher fall to break bones and if doors didnt break bones when u close them, instead the door would just stop and move back to its open position.

Punching : when you spawn it is often pretty hard to find weapons without being spotted by zombies.. Would be awesome if you can punch zombies and they would simply fall back giving you time to escape or pick a weapon up.

Hunting Knife : when you have a hunting knife it should be possible to remove it from the toolbelt and use it as a secondary weapon just like the hatchet cause im often stuck running from zombies without weapon but i have a hunting knife in my inventory..

ALL 3 of these are very good ideas, ones which I most definitely support. I have had all these problems before.

And all of theses have been suggested 58 times before.

1: Breaking bones, is as far as I know based on the ARMA engine, so not a dayz issue.

2: Punching...makes no sense, if you are close enough to punch a zombie in his teeth, he is close enough to bite your head off.

3: Axes and crowbar have allready been hacked in. Hacking in the knife would require more animations work and is a issue that can be easily addressed in the standalone version. If they add the knife now, people will want a 2x4, if they add a 2x4, people will want to use the flashlight and then a baseball bat and then.. etc etc etc.

2 of 3 are valid points, but stuff that is probably silly to waste time on, given how much easier they would be to address in the standalone.

YES! I hate being completely useless when I spawn with a single zombie making slurping sounds behind me. On the broken bone aspect, yesterday, I had a full tool set, AKs-74 Kobra, Range Finder, 8 Mags, ALICE pack and some other good items, then my friend ran across me in the hallway, my bones broke on impact and I died instantly. The broken bone system needs to be fixed.

1. if you cant close doors without breaking you bones maybe you should leave it to the professionals, ive only broken bones 2 times so far, 1st by zombie beatdown(i survived and fixed it) and 2nd by a lucky shot from a player just as i ran around the corner of a building and would have gotten away from him. but it would be nice if you could use bandage + firewood to make a splint so you could walk atleast until you found morphine

2. not punching but shoving/pushing zombies so they stagger backwards with a chance to fall down would be nice, and while i dont know if zombies can fall down from tall places it would be a nice thing if you climbed up a tall building with a zombie on your ass and when it comes up you could push it back over the edge(maybe with a cooldown or something so you cant use it to draw a horde of zombies on top of a building and rapid fire push them all off of it)

3. i usually find a hatchet(usually i end up with 2 hatchets) long before i find a hunting knife(unless i spawn near a big city), i see crowbar less than almost all other low end weapons though

did you alteast shoot him in the face while he was laughing at you(he was laughing at you right?)
