Widescreen glass

I got widescreen glass. What is it. People told that it is for making a TV set but I think that it was a joke. Is it for car or what? If a TV can someone post any screens of it?

And you only NEED it if you are using 1st person

The windscreen glass is used to repair a car. While it is not necessary to get it working, it might just save your life since it will provide limited protection from incoming gunfire. You can repair up to 4 windows on a car (front, 2 sides and back).

I always wondered, you can't see thru some glass in first person (veteran) if the glass is shot out too much. It's all white.

This must be something that becomes more useful in hardcore mode.
