Since the update to 1.7.2.4, every time i try to setup VIDEO resolution to match, id 1960x1080 Res and 1960x1080 3d res. it gives me this faint red line at the top of my screen and the left side... its prolly 1/64" thick, very faint but very noticeable... any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

This is a super bump but I had the same problem and thought I'd give out the solution, which can be found here:

"do you have ati?

If you do then the red box around the edges of the screen is because of forced AA. make sure anti-aliasing in CCC is set to use application settings."
