Very useful peripheral device

Track IR.

Nuff said guys... I've had mine for about a year now.

It is great for flight sims of course, and Arma (infantry combat) in general

But using it with DayZ actually makes me MISS when I forget to put it on before hopping in-game.

The situational awareness gained by using a Track IR head tracker is second to none.

Especially since you can move your head while keeping your body still, essential if you are to survive in bandit infested territory.

PS: No I don't work for the track IR guys... just offering a nice tip for anyone who has $100-150 lying around :)

I actually use FaceTrackNoIR which is very similar. If you have a high fps webcam (the PS3 Eye works amazing). This program is free and tracks your head without the gear on your head. If I had the money I would definetly pick up TrackIR because everything I read says it is better :) but there are "free" or cheaper alternatives.

There is a massive difference SteamTrout... trust me on this one.

I was a staunch supporter of 'Why do I need to spend $100+'

It is like night and day, which in this mod is quite fitting :)

TrackIR is a fairly expensive 'toy' but I haven't regretted my purchase at all.

The software included is second to none and includes some really nice hotkey options.

Had my set shelved for a couple of months not playing ARMA (lacks support for most game titles) so I had to reinstall ARMA just to use my beloved 'toy'.

- then I found dayZ... rest of the story is just bells and whistles :)
