o00Frost00o 15 Posted July 28, 2012 (edited) Yes, I'm a noob and I have been playing this game/mod for a week now.I spawned near Cherno, did the grocery/Firestation routine where I was lucky enough to find M16 and I headed north afterwards. After a while I sneaked upon a lone player with a sniper rifle on his back, that was looking for loot in a small farm. I thought to my self: Should I try to contact him? What if he is one of those good guys, that helps other players? ...but... What if he's a bandit? What If he'll kill me?So i decided to kill him. Then, I looked around to make sure that he is really alone and went to search his body. Besides getting almost all survival tools + PDW + DMR, I found out that he had no food on him, HE WAS PROBABLY JUST HUNGRY.I have never felt so guilty, for killing someone in a video game... sya 55 Posted July 28, 2012 So to sum up what the people above me are saying: Don't worry, don't feel bad, just stick with the wanton murder in videogames, in time you will harden yourself enough to be able to become the serial killer we all want you to become!Did you at least look straight at your victim's back for a while and hear a fast heartbeat, to indicate he had a couple kills on his conscience? :bandit: Because otherwise, what you did was commit deliberate murder, :murder: with intent, when you could have easily backed out and avoided the encounter unseen. It's a game. You have the option to be a bandit. You are invited to try out different playstyles, and do things that you would or could, or even should perhaps not do in real life. It's play. It's also a form of expression, and a medium, and how you react to your experiences in it can be worth a good long look at. So well done you for feeling guilty, in that situation, you definitely should, else your surroundings should be worried.
