Data file too short

Recommended Posts

I have been using Six updater and moved to dayz commander. Then updated from 1.7.2.3 to 1.7.1.4 and 9054 to 95417.

When trying to join any server i get this error message: Data file too short 'C:\Program files\Bohemia interactive\Arma 2\@Dayz\addons\dayz.pbo'. Expected 21215069 B, got 12582163 B.

I googled fix for this if you have steam version, but i am using retail.

Do i have to reinstall arma AO?

I've got the same problem and I could play the game properly before the update @ 25.07. Please help, there are a lot of zombies to kill! ;) I am using the Steam version and I don't want to reinstall for the third time. :(

Greetings from Berlin.

Have you tried this?

1. exit STEAM client

2. start STEAM client via 'run as Administrator'

3. select A2: OA in games list by left mouse button

4. right mouse button > menu > choose 'Properties'

5. chooce 'Local Files' tab

6. choose 'Verify Integrity File Cache'

7. wait till it's done
