Problem placing tents

i know that tents are always a bit of a pain in the ass to place but i cant get this one to place anywhere anyone else having problems placing tents?

Yeah, I have the same problem, placing the tent is like a little miracle.

wonder if the fix he did for the tents not saving gear was just make it so no more tents can be placed lol

from what i understand they are not saving gear still. which is a pain when you off the beach

Go to first person and look where you want to place the tent. Open your inventory. Place tent, when it doesn't work which I know is 90% of the time take a small step back and/or to the side while your inventory screen is still open. Rinse and repeat, usually takes half a dozen goes but just keep trying with inventory open and it will place, on a hill, under a tree, it will work eventually.

No I havent so disregard if you try and it wont work, gotta shoot of to work now or I would test asap and get back to you. Will update in 5 hours or so when I get home.

youve tested this after the patch because i cant even get it to pitch on a paved road or in a field with nothing around

I only tested it in some rough terrain spots but I had no luck after 20 minutes of spamming the button looking/moving in every direction.

Before the patch, it took a while but I would eventually get it down wherever I wanted. I didn't test it in an open field or anything though..
