screaming zombies/consistency in aggro

Recommended Posts

Hey. Yeah it's an alpha, precisely why I write this, so it can be changed, in a future alpha version. So FU.

I'm sick and tired of zombies completely randomy aggroing, sometimes football fields away, sometimes right next to you but walking away, no matter if you're prone or crouched.

There should be some consistency there, eg zombies cannot cannot cannot aggro on you from far away unless you are both LOUD as well as SOMEWHAT VISIBLE.

If you're just loud a zombie who doesn't see but does hear you shouid walk closer but not aggro instantly.

If you are sneaky a zombie should only aggro if it sees you VERY closely, not from 50+m (sometimes more...).

The really stupid running paths of zombies probably can't be changed since it's an arma2 mod. But in principle zombies shouldn't dash left and right to avoid being shot, they're zombies!

And how about zombies screaming when and while aggro'd? So when you're sneaking around prone you at least get some indication that a zombie that should be completely obvlivious to you has randomly aggro'd

My issue is that there seems to be no seperation in sound from when they are aggro'd or not. They are silent when aggro'd sometimes, and they will randomly shreak when not aggro'd. Consistency in sound would be awesome here.
