Inventory right-click hiding behind the gear screen

Tried to bandage myself but the context menu on right click was hidden behind the gear screen (unclickable), so I bled out.

I was attacked by zombies and started to bleed. When trying to bandage myself I noticed that the right-click context menu hides behind the gear screen so it can be unclickable. Right now I can only use items from the gear screen if the context menu sticks out behind the gear screen (items located on the right side of my inventory).

Please can someone say how to fix this? It's very annoying and inventory is frustratingly hard to navigate!

Are you using steam overlay? This problem sometimes happens to me when I use it. Problem is tab key gets stuck down so when you right click the inventory screen immediately comes to front again covering the right click menu. This can usually be fixed by pressing tab, and if that fails by alt-tabbing to desktop and back.
