For the love of spawn camping.

It's a normal afternoon, I sit down to load DayZ to begin the third day of survival of Hans Gruber. On the first day I was only attack by a lone zombie but that was enough to infect me. But the end of the second day I had all the supplies I would ever need bar a gun, although the illness slowly drained my energy and I knew no matter how many rabbits I fed off I wouldn't survive without antibiotics. I made the trip on foot from Kamenka through Balota Airstrip I headed inland for supplies near Bor and after an encounter with a pack of survivors was forced to flee further inland to Kozlovka... but still my will to live did not sway.

South of Nadezhdino I uncovered a tent with some basic supplies and a weapon. Belly full and ammo replenished for my 'new' AKM I continued on to the hills behind Chernogorsk. Eyes amongst the trees for the hint of a muzzle flash I sprinted for the nearest building keeping as low as possible. I made my way through town relatively unimpeded by the undead and finally reached my goal. The glorious Cherno hosiptal. The front windows were smashed out so i crept across the broken shards and searched the lobby. They had everything! Well except antibiotics... I cursed the god of coding and statistics! Oh how i cursed him...

In dismay I began to make my way out of the city but miraculously I had made my way across from the hospital to the Military Med tents. Oh glorious of days! And then.. right there in front of me lay the greatest sight my survivor eyes had laid eyes upon! The antibiotics lay meters from me but caution kept my eyes peeled on the entrance to the tent. I pick up the antibiotics and as the smile creeps across my face a message creeps across my screen.

You Have Been Kicked.

Bah? Wha? I'm used to random kicks and bugs and crashes but now of all times? Shocked I try to relog hoping those wonderful pills are still within my grasp. I make it past Character creating and my UI is displayed, i hear moans and birds and... gunshots? The worlds begins to render and I'll admit I'm scared. I don't want to lose this character. I don't even care about the antibiotics anymore and i pray i live.

Prayer doesn't work though and I watched helplessly as another player is rendered a meter in front of me, gun aimed for my face and a sadistic smirk across his face... or did i just imagine that last bit? BANG!

Well... time to start over again.

i had a dual death in stary this morning, 10:00am ish est? maybe we killed each other, or suffered the same fate?

Good story. Really isn't spawn camping though. The guy could have just walked in and seen you as you were loading. If I walked into a hospital tent and saw an unknown you better believe I'd fill him with holes.

I've never been infected but I actually found my first antibiotics today. Felt pretty special. Then I walked off the roof of the hospital, oh well.

The spawn camping title is leaning more towards the fact that for one life #I stayed in cherno for a day and all I encountered was a bunch of bandits waiting for people to appear just to kill them. I followed them and looted the bodies after they had moved on but all it showed me was they were DMing for fun. Which isn't at all the point of a survival game. I really just hope that i got killed for a reason as apposed to i was just there at the wrong time considering the effort i put in to survive so long and the fact i had finally completed a 3 day goal only to be d/ced and subsequently murdered instantly on the relog. The guy didn't even talk, just BAM!

I just don't want to become cynical about the playstyle of bandits. It's obviously not the first time I've died for nothing but this time it certainly makes me want to just murder every other player i see in game from now on. (Which is what spawncampers make me feel on other games)
