major issues - unable to download.

Recommended Posts

Purchased a version of Arma 2 and Arma 2: OA through Steam today. After installing both I downloaded battleye and an installer called Six_updater. Six updater seems to lock up trying to install microsoft frameworks 4.0 client after several attempts to do so.

Then I found that you can bypass it by installing the Arma 2 Beta at: Arma2.com. However, Arma2.com is currently down? I keep getting connection timed out issues all day on both comps. Unable to install.

The Other Issue.

After downloading Arma 2, I tried playing it. Upon starting up both arma2 and OA I noticed the game was SUPER LAGGY. The comp I run it on usually has no problems running these types of games. Is there something I need to do to get Arma running much more smoothly? As it stands on I've set the game on VERY LOW on everything I could and it's still running at what seems like .5 FPS..... <_<

Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm so very excited to play DayZ but seems as though it's not going to happen. :(

Thank you.

was able to get the game up and running through Six updater. The issue remains that my comps FPS is horrible. Is my comps Ram too low? What am I doing wrong?

Fraps was reporting 2-4 (sometimes rarely 5) FPS. I tried all possible settings in my NVIDIA settings to no avail. *sigh* It's like looking at a glass of water through a window when you're parched. :(
