Was 1911 and revolver nerfed or are zombies tougher now?

Question in the topic. It takes 3 shots to the center mass to take a zombie down with 1911, used to be just one shot.

I'm actually ok and HAPPY about this, but my concern is that the ammunition was nerfed instead of more hit points added to the zombies.

I guess the MAIN question is, in a PvP combat, are weapons dealing same amount of damage to human players, or less in the new (1.2.7.4) patch?

yep nerfed. I was unloaded on with an entire clip of a makarov earlier, all went into my chest, and I still ran away :)

It was confirmed nerfed as well.
