More options for servers

Though I realize the need to have the same rules for all servers because of the ability of people to change servers/save their characters, why not have different kind of servers that have separate databases types?

For instance, if someone wants to disable helicopters (bad example perhaps) on their server, let them do it, but a person who uses a server that has disabled helicopters can only play on other servers that have disabled helicopters.

Also, servers should be allowed to have their own databases if they wish. This will discourage server hopping and will allow the server to adjust anything they like without risking unfair advantage on other servers.

Basically there are some aspects of the game that different players feel very differently about. If someone is paying for a server, why not allow them to do what they want on it?

I think your idea about the spawn part is an awesome idea. it would reduce ghosting alot : P

At the moment hosting a server is a community service, you lend processing power, you don't get to take decisions about how it is used.
