Give us a way to hunt player killers?

Recommended Posts

as far as i know there is no way to tell a player killer from a nice guy.

are there any plans for this?

i know that realism is your aim but it does really suck hard to be killed instantly by some guy camping in a room all day.

perhaps the player that gets killed can write a death note in their blood kinda thing, and it floats around the area and can be read for a couple of days by anyone passing by before it disintegrates. maybe something like this would be good? or perhaps you can make an item which pings a players gps the location of every murder, then you might have some kind of bounty hunters or police force clans popping up

i just wonder if any kind of system is being planned to help identify or deal with murderers.

i would like to see this kind of game with about 300 people per server, enough people for there to be communities and outlaws.then you could have teams taking it upon themselves to police towns and cities, and groups of notorious bandits trying to raid them. the map would have to be scaled up, as would the importance of towns so that they were worth protecting, perhaps they could be trade centers, with banks and public houses, interdependant on each other, so merchants would need to be protected as they transport goods from town to town. i know this is a little outside the scope of dayz, but i think it would be an awesome mmo.

There is a way to hunt us...how about with your gun? There should be no physical indication of my demeanor towards other players. I hope you understand that they tried this before with bandit skins, and they opted to remove that feature. This is just part of the game.

The choices you make in DayZ are of your own accord.

you have quite an interesting vision for Day Z, btw there used to be skins, people who murder other players got stuck with a Bandit skin, and people who didn't kill other players had a Survivor skin. Rocket decided to do away with those concepts to avoid labeling someone. Now instead, if you have a weapon and have it aimed at another player, you will hear their heart beat if they are a murderer, the more players they have killed the louder and more fast paced the beat is.

I am glad rocket ignores idiots like you

I don't think Rocket ignores good guys like us, but rather wants a more realistic way to identify douchebags like you. Maybe a big smelly ballsack for your head will work?

I heard that there will be some way of identifying bandits soon, something along the lines of blood covered hands (literal and metaphorical) that will fade over time.

Sarah Connor: Reese. Why me? Why does it want me?

Kyle Reese: There was a nuclear war. A few years from now, all this, this whole place, everything, it's gone. Just gone. There were survivors. Here, there. Nobody even knew who started it. It was the machines, Sarah.

Sarah Connor: I don't understand.

Reese: Defense network computers. New... powerful... hooked into everything, trusted to run it all. They say it got smart, a new order of intelligence. Then it saw all people as a threat, not just the ones on the other side. Decided our fate in a microsecond: extermination.

Sarah Connor: Did you see this war?

Kyle Reese: No. I grew up after. In the ruins... starving... hiding from H-K's.

Sarah Connor: H-K's?

Kyle Reese: Hunter-Killers. Patrol machines built in automated factories. Most of us were rounded up, put in camps for orderly disposal.

[Pulls up his right sleeve, exposing a mark]

Kyle Reese: This is burned in by laser scan. Some of us were kept alive... to work... loading bodies. The disposal units ran night and day. We were that close to going out forever. But there was one man who taught us to fight, to storm the wire of the camps, to smash those metal motherfuckers into junk. He turned it around. He brought us back from the brink. His name is Connor. John Connor. Your son, Sarah, your unborn son.

No knowing from friend or foe so easily really cranks up the tension for players. If players want to mercilessly why should they be labeled like this is some kind of shit hole MMO?
