MR DELICIOUS 297 Posted May 24, 2012 It has a new 140 m audio range on zombies (the CZ has a 150 one) and the ammo is now half as available as it once was. Still kills zeds one hit, and has a relatively good clip size with plentiful ammo, so it's good to roll with one until you find an AK or NATO class weapon. palindrome 3 Posted May 24, 2012 I have noticed that it seems to have a variable aggro range. Sometimes it works like it did before the patch yet other timess it seems to draw half a village worth of zombies. I haven't tested it properly though.Its still my favourite starting gun due to its power and accuracy and ammo is also very common. I don't think that ammo is any scarcer now, pellets may have gone but slugs seem to spawn more often; I managed to get 7 'clips' in a single barn. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Pellets are rounds of buckshot. They spread out at short range. While they offer superior stopping power over short ranges and in buildings, they lose a lot of impact over longer ranges.There is a DayZ wiki. Latros 1 Posted May 24, 2012 I have only seen a Winny spawn WITH ammo once since change.. was my starting go to weapon and still would be if ammo was more plentiful as it is Ive actually swapped over to the CZ as my starting weapon since its not really any louder then your other options and has the power and scope and I have been finding retarded amounts of CZ ammo of late.... It is now practically impossible to shoot a zombie without alerting a horde, and this wouldn't be so much a problem if it was possible to 'lose' zombies.If Rocket allows crossbow bolts to be stackable, I would have no problem with this.
