...if they introduce a cannibalism feature.

Fuck beans, i just want a sure way of eating, without the chance that he doesn't have anything worthy on him :p

Anyone else thinking that this should be added? Discussion?

This is a bad suggestion and you should feel bad for making it.

In fairness though, finding a meal is pretty easy already.

I don't blame myself for coming up with that, cause in fact i got inspired by a lot of other post-apocalyptic movies, where the main enemy are bands of cannibals.

For example just watch The Road, it's creepy and athmospheric.

If you could eat people then everybody in the server would eat people.

It wouldn't be a common sight even in a post apocalyptic situation for people to casually snack on eachother.

There would have to be something that would make you not want to eat a fellow human being, perhaps some sort of mental problem after eating a person which could make you start shaking or get blurry vision at random.

well yeah human flesh doesnt provide enough nutrients to live on, you would get shaky and weak feeling

I was considering suggesting this earlier but I put it off cause I knew someone else would.

Cannibalism would be awesome; I could eat everyone's hearts to gain their courage.

Cannibalism would be a great feature, but it must have a downside...constant shaking. If I remember correctly, in The Book of Eli, the cannibals were constantly shaking. Want a constant supply of food? Well have a constant supply of shakes.

yeah, wouldn't really mind any downsides. I would just want that for creepy athmosphere reasons.

Cannibalistic players could have a humanity similar system, where they turn more savage looking too maybe

Cannibalism by itself does not necessarily lead to diseases or disorders (unless the person they are eating carried that disease).

It is the eating of human brain matter which causes something called Kuru, a disease which causes a neurological condition due to degenerating brain tissue. The brain essentially becomes sponge-like over time, and leads to the physical symptoms.

Even if they remove bandit skins, if they add in cannibalism then I feel they need a skin to differentiate the monsters from the rest.

I like this idea, but I think the ability to eat others should be dependent on humanity level. For example, you can only eat players if you have a humanity below -125,000. I think this would make it rare enough that it would not severely impact mood or storytelling.

I support the idea of cannibalism. It's quite often a natural, human response to starvation.

Just to clarify: it's not the brain eating that causes the illness. Kuru is transmitted by prions (the same thing that caused the mad cow disease) and they're the the thing that leads to brain degeneration.

Prions are really interesting on their own. They're basically some pieces of proteins, but they behave in a similar matter to viruses. AFAIK it's unknown how they replicate or what are their origins.

Cannibalism, if it were ever to be implemented, shouldn't cause any sicknesses. If we're talking realism, you'd have a greater chance of getting infected by cow meat than people meat.
