Founded1992 0 Posted July 28, 2012 When I play DayZ, I get a decent amount of lag. FPS drops a considerable amount, and every so number of seconds, the game pauses for a bit before continuing. I note that someone on the forum had the same problem, but I can't find the original topic, and when I checked, there was no solution to the problem. This problem persists with Arma II and Operation Arrowhead. I fixed the problem then by going into Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del) and setting their priorities to 'High'. However, when I try to do the same with DayZ, it produces the warning 'This operation could not be completed. Access is denied'.Is there another way to boost the amount of CPU I give to DayZ without melting my processor?
tonybravo 4 Posted July 28, 2012 GO to "show something on all users" in the buttom to the left in task manager ;)
mikeambrose3 53 Posted July 28, 2012 Works fine for me. But I wouldn't recommend doing this as it slows down the needed Windows processes.
Dr Cheese 100 Posted July 28, 2012 I used to get this problem with Arma 2/OA and setting *maximum pre-rendered frames* in the Nvidia control panel to 8 sorted it out. Maybe worth tweaking it up or down your case?
