Quick Couple Of Questions...

Hi everyone,

I’ve read through the guides but couldn’t really find answers to my questions.

1. How do I physically make a character? Is this automatic when I join a server or launch the game? I’ve not yet been prompted to do so despite joining a few servers.

2. If I’m to continue with the same character, do I always have to re-join the same server I previously played on?

3. (If yes) How do I add a server to favourites? I cannot find that anywhere.

4. How do I bring up my character select menu? I’ve died several times (obviously) and the You Died menu appears, but I cannot select my character and eventually have to disconnect?

5. Is there any way to use a flare and hold it, rather than throw it? It’s making night time play almost impossible as thrown flares fire for miles

6. How do I find out my server details to tell friends?

1. on the main menu underplayer profile, you can change your name and face but that is about it.

2. no, your character location and inventory are saaved on a central database and will be the same across all servers. vehicles and tents will only stay on the server you place them/find them in.

3. i'm not sure if there is a favorites list but you can filter the servers list and search for servers by name using the filter.

4. you have to hit abort and disconnect once to get back to the servers lobby, and then hit ok to respawn.

5. yes, you can use the mouse wheel scroll to pick it up. to throw it a short distance just tap the fire button once when you have the flare equipped. or you could throw it against a wall and hope it doesn't get stuck out of reach.

6. Make sure to pay attention to the server list when you are joining or just ask in global chat. press . to change chat channels and / to type.
