Lower their sight distance... and hearing for a gun shot. I dont ever remember zombies being attracted by gun fire ever. Can anyone show me a movie? an this new age zombie shit is retarded.. Tell me WHY... even if theyre dead (which should hinder) should a zombie be able to run twice as fast as a human?Whats the point in them running so fast when 99% of people have to run into a building to get them to WALK like normal zombies...If your players are resorting to that then having them run is broken... Just lower theyre speed to about "crouch running" speed if your going to make them run. Partywaffle 24 Posted July 27, 2012 There are issues with zed AI.They are working on fixing it.This is Alpha.For now you just have to deal with killing them in buildings, or by zigzagging around buildings and trees in order to lose them.It is annoying, but it works for now. But they are still gonna ignore you if thay stay more than 15 meters from you and you don't shot at them.But actually i don't like local zombies that they are:1. Ridiculous fast.2. Make zig-zag at them.3. Even if you learn how to lure them outside buildings - it's still pain in the mind, cause they are attack and move ridivulous fast, you just cant shoot at they're heads, if you not an CS pro team champion. Its I want them to make it ENJOYABLE. stop posting stupid ass stuff like that. Ive never saw zombies go "YUM I HEAR GUNFIRE... LETS GO TOWARD THAT! I also agree that they shouldn't be made easier, but they should be made more predictable in their behaviour, sight distance, and hearing radius.It would be nice if zombies casually started moving to the location of a sound instead of just aggroing right to the sound, apparently being psychic and being able to know exactly who fired the shot and where they are, even if they aren't in the same spot.Again, being worked on as others have said, but still annoying in the meantime. Ofcourse it attracts so much zombies! Third of all, this is a game, not a movie, and these arent undead zombies, they are infected living humans. Because of this infection they run pretty damned fast yes.First you say, you have to run in a building, so they walk, then you start complaining about not getting a shot at them because they zig-zag, they dont do this in buildings, and if you still cant get a shot at them, please never play any FPS games.This just seems like another cry thread to me. Sometimes I get spotted at a distance when I'm kneeling-walking or crawling, but its not that often. If you pop off a round with a bunch of zombies in earshot and nowhere to run/hide, you're gonna have a bad time.At the current time zombies are a little fast, but if they were slowed down then it would just be L4D2 all over again; IF there were more zombies I totally wouldn't mind this, but they've already put in as many as they can right now without slowing things down. Would also be a way to screw with other survivors or to force bandits that are camping to relocate or else have a horde of zeds on top of them.Zombies who are alerted by sounds, however, should have their aggro increased while they travel to the location (since they are actively seeking out what made the sound). Being able to blow up gas stations would be awesome too, drawing in zombies from a great distance (perhaps even spawning some out of vision to simulate them showing them). TBH the aggro range for gunshots is already too short, it would just be ridiculously unrealistic if they said, "did you hear that?
