You were kicked off the game (BattlEye: Gloabal ban #c244)

Recommended Posts

Well, I finally got to hop back on DayZ after a few days. I log in, run around elektro for ten minutes looking for some tools, tab out to check dayzdb map for vehicle spawns on my way up north, and upon tabbing back in I get this.

Could this be due to our server not running the latest DayZ (1.7.2.4) but instead 1.7.2.3? My teamspeak overlay?

I don't understand why this happened. Am I doomed to buy a new copy of ArmA 2 so I can play again? :|

DayZ staff can do nothing about Gloabal Bans. They also can't do anything about Global Bans. Either way...you want to contact Battleye about this.

I'm aware nothing can be done from rockets side. Was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else or has any info on it.

I will gladly buy another copy of ArmA 2 solely for the DayZ mod/community. Just hoping I can sort this out so it doesn't happen again.

I can tell you that Battleye is a fairly crappy program when it comes to detecting which overlay applications are good and which are hacks. In fact it pretty much detects any overlay as a hack. It's a problem that may or may not crop up for TS users, Mumble users, Fraps users as well as other commonly used applications. If you are sincere in your statement of never using a hack and it is just TS then Battleye support can unban you and get this resolved. If not then they will tell you where to shove it and you can buy another copy of ArmA. Pretty much that simple.

Good luck!

Yeah, I have sent a ticket to support thanks to Drogur's link.

I did notice this however:

No one is banned for using non-hack programs (like Fraps, overlays, etc.), picking up or using hacked in-game items, weapons or vehicles, being on a server at the same time as a cheater, or other passive non-cheating activity. Therefore all requests mentioning these things as possible reasons for the global ban are ignored.

So we will see what happens.

Yes...people say things. They may say I am wrong but I say they are wrong. I speak from experience. I was banned by Battleye back in the day and when I contacted Battleye about it they told me it was for using Mumble and having the overlay turned on.

Shit happens.

Well I did notice the warning when enabling the overlay which stated that Anti-Cheat programs may detect it as a "hack" but with everyone else using it flawlessly, I figured it would be OK.

I'd hate to have to disable it when I get my ArmA 2 back up and running as it is quite a convenience.
