Gyrocopters

After putting many hours in the game, I have thought of something which I think could add more mechanics and replay value to the game. Something simple and easy to make (with the right parts of course).

In order to "make" one, you would need:

1 Helicopter rotor piece

1 Engine

2 Scrap metal (frame and console)

2 Wood pile(s) (console and on board storage container)

1 Wheel

3 cans Fuel (not as much as the helicopter)

Radio (like the one in the military/medic tent near the NE airfield)

Some of these items may not be available, as this is just an idea.

Here's a video of one in motion. Imagine this is you after finding the parts. With your gear packed in the storage compartment, off you go into the great unknown. Searching for survivors, dropping some gear off to a team mate, or hunting for your next prey.

Single person aircraft? If it can be done, I'd love to see it.

I wasn't going to agree at first but after watching that video, I want a gyrocopter.

I guess it can be done in ArmA2..

And possibility of repairing it, seems make more sense than a helicopter.

Though may be is some limits due just gameplay.

Picture it now.

Two seater Gyrocopters piloted by bandits, the passenger able to fire his gun freely, moving up and down the coastline hunting beaners.

It would be beautiful.

Here is a 2 seat version. This one could be located at the airfield(s) or near a radio tower command post high up in the hills. Maybe in a unsuspecting broken down warehouse.

Good Ideas :) there was a Gyro in Arma I think, a lot of fun to play with and could get you out of a tight spot easily :)
