Just a quick idea I just had.

It would be great if there were some sort of status display on the loading screen, so you know if you are not going to get into the server.

The amount of times I've left my game at the 'Loading..' screen for 30 minutes or more and still not got into the game.

Some sort of status report, or a literal view of the communication with the server so we know if we are waiting to get in, or waiting for no reason.

Would be helpful, seems like an Arma II limitation though...
