Horses

Recommended Posts

What if they had horses? Horses could stay in your inventory, unless called by you for riding or killed. They could run 3 or 4 times faster than sprinting, and like jeeps could also carry stuff for you. They could be rare, and have a higher change of being held in the long houses and around barns. Please tell me what you think about this idea, I don't know how it could be implemented into Arma 2, but hopefully into Arma 3.

This would be a pretty cool alternative to driving actually, has a nice trade-off too. You can either go in the fast but loud cars, that will probably attract nearby zombies if you don't keep driving, or ride a horse that is quieter but not as fast. And of course the horse can easily die, but you don't need a lot of parts to use the horse after all. Sort of balances itself out nicely.

I like this idea. If they could be anything like how the horses are in Red Dead Redemption (animation wise) then I'm all for it. There are rolls of hay out in the country side and near some rural areas. With that in mind, a whole new mechanic for horses would have to be created to keep with the theme of the game. This includes keeping them fed and hydrated and the ability to trample zombies and bandits of course.
