Cant play on servers. VIRAL PROBLEM!

Ok, well basically I made a thread about this before and the solutions which people gave me did not work at all.

So basically here is whats happening. When I try to join a server, a message pops up in the middle of the screen saying something along these lines "You are running 1.7.0 and the server is running 1.7.2.3 and the dayz_code file is incorrect and download the correct file from dayz.com/downloads".

To get everything clear, I have tried deleting the @DayZ folder and the contents inside it, I have tried to download the files using almost all the portal (US etc), I have tried downloading the files from the torrent option, I have updated my Arma2 Beta patch. I have basically done every logical thing I could have done.

Also, before people think I am the only person in this world that has this problem and arent bothered to help me, you are wrong. There are 100s of people with this exact same issue and I have spent more than 12 hours finding a cure for this.

P.S. When the message pops up in game, I can move my character and everything, but I cannot swing my hatchet and it constantly fades in to black and out to normal.

Are you using the six launcher or steam or what?

Not sure how you're at 1.7.0 if you've downloaded the correct files. Install SixLaucher and it should do it all for you.

I use steam to launch it.

thats the problem you see, when I update with 6 launcher everything is fine, but when I join a server, the same message pops up, "1.7.0"

It is really frustrating because I bought Arma2 specifically for DayZ mod...and its been more than 12 hours and I am still figuring out how to make it work.

All i can suggest is make sure youve run both arma 2 and arma 2 oa by themselves without dayz through steam itself, then run dayz directly through the six launcher, rather than any steam shortcuts you are currently using.

Ok, I tried to run Arma2 without steam and a message comes up saying "bad seriel number given on setup"??

Disregard this post, I did a simple 'Run as admin' on steam and the bad seriel number thing is gone.

But I cant still play the DayZ mod...

Like i said u need to run both games through steam first, without the mod active, this loads the serials into your computers registry. Then run six launcher and join a server using that, hope it works.
