cant join day Z servers

Hello,

im new to the game and i dont understand it very good.

When i want to join a day Z server it says this: version : 1.62

required : 1.62

I think thats the problem why i cant join any servers but can someone tell me how to fix this?

try running steam as an admin and updating arma II and arma OA

try and see if you can join servers if that doesn't work >

once again run steam as an admin right click arma AO and click properties> local files > defragment cache files

i've never personally come across this error just guessing

Best answer is the lack of Beta. Did you download specified Beta from (http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php) ?

Pick the one that is used on the server ( In the name of it you should see numbers like for instance : 92548).

Download Beta, run it. Go to game, check if in the lower right corner you can see sth like 1.62.xxxxx - wheres xxxx is the beta number. After that you should be able to play on that beta (and lower) type servers.

exit steam completely before doing this as you need to completely re run the program as an admin

right click steam and click 'Run as administator'
