Zeroing

Hey guys, just a quick question, say somebody is at 450 meters for example, would i put zeroing at 400 or 500?

What if somebody is at 490, would i put that on 400 or 500 zeroing.

450m, put at 400m and aim at their head. prolly hit in the chest high leg area. if you put at 500m just aim lower on the target, like their hip.

490m, put at 500m. its close enough to hit near the cross hair.

Round to the closest, but learn whether u need to aim high or low. High for being zeroed under the target distance(compensating for the bullet drop in excess of what your zeroing is accounting for) or low for being over zeroed (to compensate for the bullet drop that your zeroing is accounting for but doesn't have the distance to complete).
