Update said it will fix items dropping while in water?

So, I'm at work and was looking at steam and the arma update said this:

New: Dropping items while swimming can be disabled with "enableItemsDropping = 0;" in desctiption.ext

now my questions is....Do we do this? or does the DayZ Dev do this?

I'm not TOO worried cuz I try and stay away from water, but just figured I would ask.

Server Admins can. Although I think latest DayZ may do it automatically.
