Game freezes at setup screen once I join a server.

Recommended Posts

I just installed this game and have only been able to enter a server once. Every other time I try to join any server it gets to the multiplayer setup screen and the game freezes. I have updated many times with the installer and manually. The one time I was able to enter a game I was able to play for hours without any problem, but the next time I tried to play it was back to square one.

Define your freeze. Is it freezing while pulling up data in the lobby, or before ever entering the lobby. Do you make it to Server Response screen?

I would get to the lobby where it says multiplayer set up and then you click ok to load mission details. I found the problem though apparently it has something to do with the LAN card in the MSI GT70 laptop. Blue screens if you use ARMA with it and freezes the game if you use wireless. Disable and it works fine.

Hey Lazerious, i to just bought the MSI GT70 laptop, got it yesterday, and am having the same problem you were having, i too got into a server ONCE and it played phenominal... got out then couldn't get in another server. I followed what worked for you, i have 3 network adaptors however 1)Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 2230..... 2) Killer e2200 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.20)........ and 3) Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter.... i disabled the 2nd one the killer e2200, and then i could get in any server i wanted, but it was extremely laggy. Could you help?
